Our clients keep and train horses of the highest caliber and wished to provide a very high quality stable complex on a large estate near Horsham, West Sussex. The horses are future Olympic team athletes requiring the best facilities.

The planning proposals included new buildings in the countryside, in an isolated location in an area of nationally recognised high quality landscape. The proposed stables were designed to the highest standards and have a very attractive and environmentally sustainable design, incorporating the latest in energy and water saving design and technology.

Despite the quality of the proposal, Parker Dann had to convince planning officers and subsequently the planning committee of the merits in erecting new buildings in the countryside, particularly in such a sensitive location.
